The weather will be much more tranquil across the island today. Most areas will see a mix of sun and cloud with temperatures ranging from 6 to 15. Highs from 1 to 11 are expected across Labrador. Snow will end this morning in Churchill Falls, and rain showers or flurries will end in the afternoon in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.

It will be a wet and windy day across most of Newfoundland. Rain is expected for most areas with a general 5 to 10 mm expected. Amounts will be higher along the south coast. Over higher elevations of the west coast, rain could mix with or change to snow. On the Avalon, it will be overcast today with a chance of showers. Highs from 4 to 8 are expected. For the first day of May, we will see mostly overcast conditions across the province with a few peeks of sunshine. Highs will range from 2 to 12 degrees. Clouds will move in from the south and will linger through the weekend. There is also some rain on the way on Sunday, and a larger, more powerful storm will impact the province on Sunday Night and Monday.
